This exhibition pays tribute to a talented artist and inspiring teacher who was instrumental in the founding of the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. Nina Belle Ward left an enduring mark on Kalamazoo through her teaching in the early days of the KIA, and at Central High School. This exhibition remembers her contributions and recognizes her own artistic skill in portraiture, still life, and harbor scenes by bringing together work from collections across the country.
