A Curator’s Legacy: Helen Sheridan and the KIA Collection
December 20, 2008 - April 19, 2009
For nearly two decades, Helen Sheridan (1937-2008) worked with the KIA’s permanent collection and exhibitions. Her vision and diligence strengthened the quality of both the collection and the exhibitions during a vital time in the KIA’s history, when almost 600 works of art were added to the collection and an ambitious exhibition schedule was initiated. This exhibition highlighted works she acquired for the collection or selected for important exhibitions she organized.
Celebrate a century of art as the KIA turns 100! General admission to the museum is FREE throughout July, thanks to the generous support of Jim and Carol Carter, the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation, PNC Bank, The Santreece Foundation, and Warner Norcross + Judd LLP.
