One of the themes from Sourced from the ‘Zoo explores self-care and well-being. This event invites you to drop in and sample different activities at your own pace to find lasting habits that can contribute to a healthier, more balanced life. With activities led by several Kirk Newman Art School instructors, you’ll have opportunities to sample a variety of school offerings – all for free!

- Explore tools to easily organize your tasks or thoughts with bullet journaling
- Slow down with coloring sheets and investigate different coloring tools
Sourced from the ‘Zoo exhibit
- Enjoy the world music of Samuel Nalangira
- Learn basic sketching techniques and gain inspiration from artwork in the galleries with Hank Mattson
- Explore origami folding techniques and create paper figures with Aerick B.
Meader Fine Arts Library
- Learn about and write ekphrastic poetry (poetry about art) with Elizabeth Kerlikowske
Auditorium
- Explore the meditative practice of sound immersion with Kara Markovich
- Experience yoga through slow movement, static poses, and breathing techniques with Patra Ryder
- These two experiences will be offered on a rotating basis throughout the event.
