An independent study oriented class with one-on-one instruction provided with an emphasis on the exploration of visual culture through drawing and painting mediums and subject matter. Students will be encouraged to create artwork that brings out their unique talent and creativity. This class will help students with their own personal vision and many mediums will be covered.
CLAY ON THE WHEEL

Students will create vessels on the potter’s wheel through demonstrations of basic skills and a variety of techniques and hand building. An independent class with one-on-one instruction developing a personal style will be discussed. Creating pieces using a variety of techniques will be the goal.
Young Artists Multimedia Art Camp (A) (Ages 11–16)

This camp will provide a unique opportunity for young artists to work with a variety of mediums. We will visit the Kirk Newman Art Schools various art studios to do things like painting, printmaking, and clay. Every day will be something new. The session is one week, Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm, with a supervised one-hour lunch period. Please be sure to enroll your student in the grade level they will be entering in the fall of 2025.
