Taking docent training classes is like being in an exciting art history course — plus you have an opportunity to interact with young people and expose them to all kinds of wonderful art.

After ending my full time work, I was looking to spend time around beauty and learn something as well. The classes were interesting and made use of various formats to enrich our learning and be able share this with visitors to the KIA.

Becoming a docent is an opportunity to be in a lovely environment surrounded by like-minded friends and staff who encourage and support all endeavors. Being a docent is a gift to myself.
