Second Sight/Insight II
January 10, 2015 - May 10, 2015
Does a picture really tell a thousand words? For this reprise of the successful 2005 exhibition, guest curator Elaine Seaman selected works from the KIA’s collection that beg to be interpreted in a literary way. Thirty poets were invited to respond to a drawing, print, or painting from the KIA’s permanent collection. Each work of art is exhibited with its literary response. The exhibition coincides with the 2015 National Poetry Month in April.
Celebrate a century of art as the KIA turns 100! General admission to the museum is FREE throughout July, thanks to the generous support of Jim and Carol Carter, the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation, PNC Bank, The Santreece Foundation, and Warner Norcross + Judd LLP.
