Familiar Surroundings
December 18, 2010 - April 10, 2011
Andrew Wyeth was not the only American realist of his time to find inspiration close to home. This exhibition of works drawn from the permanent collection highlights other American originals who ignored the dictates of modern art and developed personal styles rooted in their local environment. Included are works by John Marin, Martin Lewis, and Reginald Marsh.
Celebrate a century of art as the KIA turns 100! General admission to the museum is FREE throughout July, thanks to the generous support of Jim and Carol Carter, the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation, PNC Bank, The Santreece Foundation, and Warner Norcross + Judd LLP.
