Following a heartbreaking loss, Ann Stilwell leaves her small town in Washington state for New York City and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Spending her summer in the gothic museum and garden known as The Cloisters, Ann is intrigued by the curiosities of the people she meets who occupy this unusual space. From the curator Patrick, who is obsessed with the history of Tarot, to a group of researchers who have as much secret history as the collection itself, Ann gets caught up in a dark and sinister plot as eerie as the setting itself. Upon finding a lost set of 15th-century Tarot cards, Ann finds herself in the middle of a supernatural thriller that blurs the lines between past and future.
