The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts always offers free admission to active military members but as a Blue Star Museum, we are taking it a little farther to honor the servicemen and women, and their families. The KIA is proud to be a Blue Star Museum this year, offering free admission for active military and their families from Armed Forces Day (May 21, 2022) to Labor Day (September 5, 2022). Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America, offering free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve.
