You’re ready to turn your artistic vision into reality. You’ve connected with others in your field. You’ve found an opportunity that sounds right for you. Now what?
Artist Happy Hour: How to Get the Gig is a collaboration between the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo (ACGK) and the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. All are invited to join us for a panel discussion on strategies for crafting polished portfolios, resumes, grant applications, and more. Panelists will include local arts educators and leaders who will share insights based on their experiences in their fields. There will be opportunities to network with other artists, get feedback on your application materials, and learn more about what both the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo and the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts have to offer! Refreshments will be provided, and gallery admission will be free for all event attendees.

Preregistration is encouraged. Find out why.
In the event that a program is modified, postponed, or cancelled, we reach out via email to all who have preregistered. If a significant change is made on short notice, your preregistration helps to ensure that you get the word from us in the most timely manner possible.
Registering for programs in advance also helps our staff to assess set-up needs beforehand, reducing the need for last-minute adjustments to numbers of chairs, tables, etc. Further, it streamlines the check-in process when you arrive and allows us to keep you in the loop about other upcoming programs that might be of interest!
