During November Art Hop, drop by the KIA to celebrate Día de Los Muertos! Traditionally celebrated in Mexico on Nov. 1 and 2, Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is dedicated to joyful remembrance of the departed. Guests of all ages are warmly invited to view and contribute to our community ofrenda, created in partnership with Niñas del Corazón and El Concilio. Create a memento to honor a lost loved one, and celebrate the holiday with more interactive programming throughout the evening.
All are warmly invited to contribute images of departed loved ones to our photo memorial, which will play in the auditorium throughout the evening. Fill out this form, and join us during Art Hop to celebrate those loved and lost by members of the Kalamazoo community. Submissions will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Nov. 2.
The KIA galleries will also be open free of charge from 5-8 pm!
