Art, Activism, and AIDS: In-Gallery Visit with Jordan Eagles

December 1, 2022

Artist Jordan Eagles will be in the KIA galleries for two special 90-minute sessions at 12:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Eagles uses animal and human blood in his artworks to explore themes of life, death, spirituality, equality, and politics related to the human body. In works like American Carnage 6/4-11, currently on view in Unmasking Masculinity, Eagles comments on blood donation policies that prohibit members of the LGBTQIA+ community from donating blood.

To commemorate World AIDS Day, guests will be invited to converse with and sit for a portrait where Eagles’ will project detailed images from his Illuminations series onto their faces. The photos, taken by Eagles, will be texted to guests after their visit.

This is an amazing opportunity to meet this artist and be part of his work.
