Since its founding in 1986, the Black Arts & Cultural Center has served a vital community-focused mission, providing invaluable support to Black artists from the Kalamazoo area and around the world. The BACC hosts highly-anticipated cultural events, presents quality educational programming for all ages, exhibits the work of groundbreaking artists of color working in a variety of media, and makes a wide range of arts experiences accessible to all. During this ARTful Evening, the BACC’s Interim Executive Director Janine Seals and Programs Director Dani Lewis will discuss the organization’s history, its mission and vision for the future, and upcoming programming and events, including gallery exhibitions, Juneteenth celebrations, and the Black Arts Festival.
