Best of Broadway with Theater Kalamazoo

This Best of Broadway cabaret style showcase is brought to the KIA Arts Fair by Theatre Kalamazoo, a non-profit collaboration between the live theatres in Kalamazoo, MI whose goal is to help make theatre more accessible to the public.

The Two Dollar Bills are a rock band from Kalamazoo, Michigan composed of Mark Warden on drums, Patrick McLaughlin on bass, Bradyn Weatherwax on guitar, Luke Feister on guitar, and Will Gavan on vocals. The band has influences in indie rock, garage, dance, punk, alternative rock, and much more.

Jessica ‘Jess’ Ivey is a vocalist, songwriter, teaching artist, DJ and vocal producer from the West side of Detroit. Jess’ vocal style is an expressive blend of alternative R&B, gospel and melodic Hip-Hop. A classically trained vocalist and student of Black music, Jess blends her various musical influences in a multi-faceted one woman show with vulnerability at the center of all her live performances. The Skeletones

Founded in 1985, the Skeletones have been filling the dance floors of West Michigan and beyond with a high-energy blend of R&B, Funk, and Motown for decades. The current Skeletones lineup is fronted by the amazingly soulful singer/songwriter Denise Wilhite , and the rhythm section rounded out by bass guitarist Neal “Dutch” Conway and guitarist Nate Heymoss, both members of the Kalamazoo-based bands Funktion and The Mainstays.
