A Celebration of Kalamazoo and its People
March 8—June 1, 2025

The KIA and partner organizations throughout the city invite community members to submit pieces and objects that are treasured parts of their daily lives, family history, or personal keepsakes. Objects and artworks should explore regional and personal histories that spark curiosity and joy.

Sourced from the ‘Zoo is a community-wide exhibition celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of Kalamazoo and its residents. This dynamic, crowdsourced exhibition is a platform for everyone in Kalamazoo to participate, creating a shared space for commemoration, celebration, and meaningful connections.

During one or more of these programs, we would like to invite multiple contributors to speak briefly about the works they have submitted as part of an informal gallery walkthrough. If your submission(s) are selected for display at the KIA, would you be interested in participating in such a program?
