Thanks to everyone who joined us on Saturday, September 28 between for the KIA’s Steamroller Printmaking Day! This first-ever event for the KIA celebrated the art of printmaking and welcomed the community to witness how a large steamroller can be used as a printing press to produce vibrant, large-scale prints from relief carvings.
During the event, Kirk Newman Art School faculty and students printed new works in the KIA’s South Street parking lot and assisted community printmakers throughout the day.
Community members watched the results and also enjoyed free, hands-on printmaking demos throughout the day in silkscreen, woodblock, and more.
Special thanks to MacAllister Rentals for their support of this special event!
