Celebrate the opening of the summer season with the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. Each year, on the first Saturday in June, the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts presents the KIA Art Fair in downtown Bronson Park, the second oldest continuously running art fair in the nation.

More than two hundred artists from across the country participate in the fair, which attracts more than 60,000 people every year. Paintings, prints, drawings, photos, ceramics, sculpture, fiber works and wearable art, jewelry, glass and mixed-media works are all available for purchase.

The KIA Art Fair also has activities for kids of all ages, including a Children's Art Yard, a Face Painting Booth, a Button Factory and other family-oriented activities. Live music fills the air throughout the day, and more than a dozen food vendors offer treats for every taste.

New this year - KIA Beer Garden! Enjoy live music by Whiskey Before Breakfast (Friday, June 5th 6-8 p.m.) and toast summer with Bell's Oberon Ale. Friday, June 5th 5-9 p.m. and Saturday, June 6th 12-5 p.m. under the KIA Overhang on the corner of South and Park. Sponsored by Bell's Brewery, Inc.
